Reflecto Car

By Kaylynn and Natalie

Reflecto Car is a balloon powered car made to demonstrate all we have learned about forces in unit 2. This is the analysations and reflections on our car.

Our balloon powered car had to be light, and create not a lot of friction, and had to be air resistant. so we got a light but stable body frame made of a plastic juice jug. To minimize stalls and friction in the wheel system, we uses a stick inside a straw, for a smooth rolling car. We went with a three wheeled car to minimize friction to the ground. Unfortunetly, the front wheel wasn't wheeling right, and ended up slowing our car down. But for more force from the back wheels, we used heavy coasters that wheel well. To minimize the air resistance and drag, we had a flat platform of plastic that could cut threw the air as aposed to pushing against it. ]

Prepultion wise, we put a pipe in the balloon to controll the air. We double layered balloons for more comprestion.
